The story of A Security Of The Ming Dynasty 2 begins with the imperial historian Chu Tân uncovering a plot by Kỷ Cương to betray the kingdom. Determined to inform the emperor, Chu Tân plans to deliver a letter to the palace. However, Kỷ Cương is one step ahead and has Chu Tân assassinated the night before, ensuring the success of his scheme. Despite this, Chu Tân manages to pass on the evidence and his daughter, Chu Mộng Điệp, to a loyal bodyguard named Lý Nghị before his death.
Fearless in the face of danger, Lý Nghị not only protects Chu Mộng Điệp from the clutches of the treacherous Cẩm Y Vệ Tào Kiên and Lưu Miễn but also resolves to uncover the culprits behind Chu Tân's assassination.
